As we have seen, apocalyptic themes are in all areas of popular culture.  The threat of the end of the world could bring about eschatological anxiety and it could also bring humanity together and make us realize what is really important in the end days.  The apocalypse has been shown to use human suffering and weakness as a lead up to everyone pulling together and finding hope where there may not be any.  In the Book of Revelation the battle between good and evil will happen - earth will be destroyed  and God will create a new beginning for humans to rebuild the way it was intended to be.

 

      The end of the world seems to be engrained into society through our obsession with popular culture. Some people have taken the threat of the apocalypse seriously and have made plans to survive if the end were to come in our lifetime.
