Musical artists are some of the most influential people in popular culture.  Depending on the genre of music you enjoy, artists have the ability to draw you in with their beautiful melodies and use their lyrics to sing their message to anyone who will listen.  

 

      Apocalyptic themes in music are common  and can be heard in all genres of music.  Some musicians view the world as a dangerous and chaotic place - others choose to sing about revelation and sing about the better days ahead.  

 

      "Do the Evolution" by Pearl Jam is song about  the ignorance people have to their actions and how we are inevitably destroying our planet and each other.  The music video takes examples from history and shows us that our addiction to technology will ultimately bring about the end of the world. At the end of the video there is a glimps of hope - we see a flicker of an embryo which symoblizes the rebirth and revelation Earth.
